Yesterday, the international Jazz Journalists Association held a  party to announce the winners of its annual awards in 45 categories. JazzWax was nominated in two of them, and I was honored to be among such esteemed colleagues:

I read Doug Ramsey's blog and it doesn't hold a candle to your blog in terms of quality of information, quality of presentation, and quantity of information. In fact, no other jazz blog comes close to yours in quality. It just seems so obvious.
