That's probably the best high school jazz band I've ever heard! The Japanese kids are great...better by far than any other high school band I've had the chance to hear.

That Mae West album is no stranger than "The Ethel Merman Disco Album," one of the truly unique LPs in my collection.

Go West, young men? I don't think so... But ignoring that ignominious suggestion, good job re: Japan and Jazz. The healing of that shattered nation has a hellacious broken road to travel. And Mae's West is feeling nervous too. Pray for Japan; pray for us all.

An incongruous bit of trivia is that the Blue Note in Tokyo was business as usual last Saturday night after the quake. Tower of Power was tearing it up there as if nothing had happened!
