Bruce Armstrong

I always thought this recording was one of Getz' all-time best--and that's saying something when you think about Stan's prolific output and super-high virtuosity.
I heard the ballad "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" on a local L.A. jazz station back in the early 60s while in college and immediately bought the album. When I first played it and heard "Ginza Samba" I was awestruck. All players perform at a high level, but Stan's playing is really on another level. Thanks for bringing this one to your readers' attention, Mark.
