Two print bios have also been recently published, one by his daughter. A review said that they paint very different pictures of Kenton the man.

Thanks for this review Marc. I purchased this as soon as I knew of it and it is indeed a satisfying treatment of Kentons musical career. Too often his contribution is glossed over and this gives strong evidence of his contribution to music education. Peter Erskine names a who's who of contemporary musicians who attended Stan Kenton Jazz Camps.

One hundred dollars worth of Kentonia!

I knew Steve Harris a few years back and he did love his Kenton!
