Jazz trombone players regard this album with special fondness; it includes some of Slide Hampton's best recorded playing.

While "not spraying the studio with baritone graffiti" is a clever line, it doesn't do justice to Pepper Adams, who was never less than a thoughtful, witty, and totally commanding musician--one of the most masterly players ever on that instrument.

"Typically evident"? Can't think of ANY Blue Note albums of the period that had a "frantic feel." Name some.
