My favorite new holiday album this year is David Ian's Vintage Christmas Trio (Prescott). A former rock guitarist, Ian now is a jazz pianist through and through. What's more, he has a delicate touch and a warm, engaging keyboard style. The album is perfect for listening while working, resting or even going for a walk. This is Ian's third album of holiday music, and all of them are terrific.
