Another wonderful Sonny Stitt album is My Main Man, recorded for Chicago's Argo label in March 1964. Stitt, on alto and tenor saxophones, was ingeniously paired with a terrific ensemble, featuring Bennie Green on trombone, Bobby Buster on organ, Joe Diorio on guitar and Dorrell Anderson on drums. All of the musicians are in the pocket, the song selection is perfect and they play with enormous taste.
