Manhattan's pre-July 4th fireworks display was the best yet
Every June in Manhattan, the New York Philharmonic performs a live free concert on Central Park’s Great Lawn. Yes, classical music is still a thing among families who love sitting outside in the evening on blankets on the expansive grass space listening to a live orchestra through a huge speaker system. I passed by in the afternoon of June 10 just after they had finished setting up the stage for that evening. [Photo above and photos below of fireworks by Marc Myers]
