A quartet discovered in Central Park plus photographs of New York's Madison Ave.
Central Park is a massive sound stage for musicians playing many different types of music. Strolling through the park, you’ll hear groups playing Latin, jazz and rock and singing doo-wop, a cappella. Last weekend, I entered the park at East 76th St and quickly encountered a terrific jazz quartet playing. I had to sit on a bench and listen. [Photo above of the quartet by Marc Myers]
