Wonderful selections. I'm surprised You Must Believe in Spring didn't make the list—it has become one of my favorite songs associated with the season. The combination of Michel Legrand's music and the later Bill Evans interpretation gives it such emotional depth. Have you ever featured it?
Thanks, Joe.So glad you enjoyed. I'm hoping to include more photos each weekend. Fun to share the city with readers. New York is like one big familiar melody. Iconic at every turn.
The photos of Central Park are simply stunning. I really felt like taking a stroll there right now - though with a distance of around 4,000 miles between New York and Berlin, that’s not exactly easy. 😄
As always I like your streaming recommendations. "The Proposal" and "Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris" are on my watching list now. 👍
I’ve already watched "Stranger Things", an incredibly well-made series by the Duffer Brothers that I thoroughly enjoyed. 📺
Hi Hans. Curious, what would you like to hear most about? I have posted on British, French, Swedish, Norwegian, Dutch and Italian jazz. But I’m always on the prowl for jazz I will love. And always open to suggestions. Please email me and let me know: marc@marcmyers.com
Thanks for your response, but at the moment I am mainly interested in pre-1980s jazz on CD and I understand your focus is more on LPs, which is fine, of course, but I had to sell my entire vinyl collection in the 1990s and don't intend to go back to that format.
Hi Hans. I'm not focused on LPs. LPs just happen to be an additional format today. All of LPs I mention are also available on CD. And JazzWax specializes in pre-1980s jazz. Not selling here, just clarifying. As you wish. Glad you're a subscriber, free or otherwise. Your call.

Music and words by Ann Hampton Callaway. Arranged by Lee Musiker.
Ann Hampton Callaway, vocal; Lee Musiker, piano, keyboards; Lou Marini, flute; Jay Leonhart, bass; Terry Clarke, drums; Dale Gordon, percussion.
Rec. 1994.
My favorite “spring song” of recent vintage. Deserves to become a standard.
Great call, Bill. Thanks for the addition!

Hi Eileen,
The song originates in a film called "Young Girls of Rochefort." I post about the film each New Year's Day. Here's the last post... https://www.jazzwax.com/p/the-young-girls-of-rochefort-1967
Thanks for sharing. I posted about the song too on Timeless Songs. Here’s the post: https://timelesssongs.substack.com/p/you-must-believe-in-spring?r=74mwg0&utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web
Thanks for sharing!
Great post today Marc! There’s a magic in Central Park that only pictures can describe. Nice tune too. 🥁

Glad you enjoyed Christian. Central Park is a great work of art. You'll love the other films. Have a great Sunday.
I'm in the Netherlands and JazzWax is mostly US-oriented, so why should I upgrade?

As per Bill's suggestion below, here's my Rob Madna post...

Marc:
Send him your 2021 postings on the Dutch pianist-composer-arranger Rob Madna (1931-2003). Those alone are worth the price of admission.
