The start of August this weekend marks the start of summer’s second half, when thoughts start turning to fall. I already miss not rising with the sun. I’m usually up between 5 and 5:30 a.m. In July, the sun rises at about that time. I love being awakened by the sun. Over the past two weeks, the sun has been rising closer to 6 a.m. [Photos above and below of New York by Marc Myers]
