Why subscribe?

After providing global readers with free content for 18 years, I have decided to make JazzWax available by subscription at Substack. All paid subscribers receive five weekly posts. The basic plan is $10 a month or $100 a year, giving you a savings of $20. A Founder subscriber plan is $250 per year and allows who are extremely generous to support the blog. Founders receive full site access plus my heartfelt gratitude.

Please remember that all paid subscribers receive two JazzWaxes—all of my new posts at the new site plus access to the former JazzWax archive, listed under “2007-2025.” There you’ll find the nearly 6,000 posts from the earlier site, including my esteemed legacy interviews.

Readers who choose the free option will receive just two posts each week and no access to the site or archive. I do hope you’ll consider upgrading to a paid subscription to enjoy all the benefits. My goal for the site was to create the feel of an amusement park at dusk or the inside of a pinball machine. It should feel exciting and loaded with music, information and fun.

It’s beautiful to be back with all of you.
