This is a great post, Marc. If readers didn't upgraded yet... hmhhh... please do. Believe me folks, I know what good jazz journalism means. I read jazz magazines since decades. For example there is a german jazz magazine "Jazz Podium", which I subscribed since the mid 80s. But I cancelled the subscription about a year ago after a long period of serious consideration. It wasn't fun anymore to read most of the long boring articles. To bring it to the point: I wasn't looking forward anymore for each new issue and that's why I made the cut. It's totally different with JazzWax. I'm really looking forward to each and every post. And your choices of topics are really something, Marc.
By the way, since I'm a big jazz fan I'm also a big movie and TV shows buff. And since about 10 years some great boutique labels released great stuff. Like wonderful Film Noir movies, etc. That's why I love your ranking lists so much.
P.S. "Babylon Berlin" gets one last season next year. 👍
